The Future We'll Make Photo Campaign

To coincide with TEDxChange - a programme of local, self-organised events that bring people together to, for example, use video and live speakers to spark discussion and connection in a small group - and the tenth anniversary of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), this participatory communication initiative involves asking citizens to use technology to address the question: What is the future we will make?
Communication Strategies
This initiative involves the use of printed material (in the form of a sign created by each individual participant) and technology (photography to capture the person holding the sign highlighting an MDG issue, as well as upload to the internet) to help put a personal face on some of the world's most pressing issues. Participants were asked to follow these 4 steps:
- Download [PDF] and print the sign.
- Personalise the sign with a message. (The sign had to relate to one of the MDGs.)
- Upload the photo(s) to the Foundation's Flickr group.
- Join the conversation on the Foundation's Community Page.
Development Issues
Economic Development, Education, Environment, Gender, Health, HIV/AIDS, Global Partnership.
Partners
TEDxChange is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
