Women’s Human Rights Step by Step - Global
The Women's Human Rights Step by Step programme aims to enhance and expand the corps of skilled human rights advocates throughout the world and specifically to strengthen local and regional women's advocacy groups to: design and carry out effective women's human rights advocacy strategies; be influential institutional advocates for women's rights within national, regional and international arenas; and be effective trainers - guiding and orienting their constituents on women's rights advocacy.
Communication Strategies
3 one-week training sessions over 2 years. Training curriculum covers the main concepts of human rights law, the structure and process of the human rights system and how to access and use selected human rights mechanisms, how to structure a process for developing locally appropriate strategies geared towards promoting or defending women's human rights, and planning and carrying out an investigatory mission to document abuses.

Key Points
During the programme, participants plan and implement one organisational strategy to promote of defend women's human rights in their countries of origin. In order to better implement their strategies, participants receive follow-up technical assistance, advice, and feedback through site visits and continued communication with the programme.
