Use of Interactive Theatre in Pakistan

Mohammad Waseem, theatre activist and trainer, and the founder member of Ajoka, Lok Rehas (Parlell Theatre groups in Lahore) heads the Interactive Resource Center (IRC) in Pakistan. In the short span of three years, the IRC has formed 52 theatre activists groups in Pakistan and trained more than 500 theatre activists.
In partnership with international organisations such as SAP-PK, ActionAid, Asia Foundation, PPAF, CRS, (Institute of Education Development) Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan and CIDA, IRC's interactive theatre programmes address various advocacy issues such as healthcare, political education, peace, violence against women, and minorities rights.
In an interview with Laura Capobianco from the ICPC, Mr. Waseem shares his thoughts on using interactive theatre to influence public health issues in Pakistan.
